Global Poverty and Practice

The University of California at Berkeley offers the Global Poverty and Practice (GPP) minor, which is the only of its kind. The GPP curriculum offers three GPP classes and two breadth classes. The central part of this unique minor is the "practice experience," which allows students to volunteer in the field of their choice and in the location of their choice. While many students take up challenges in the Bay Area of California, which is where UC Berkeley located, many also decide to work abroad. GPP alumni have stretched across the globe and continue to promote global citizenship.
