Titicaca

There are about 15 different photos that I could have chosen for this day's trip. Navy and I took the boat ride to the northern part of Isla del Sol at around 9:00am. We saw ancient Incan ruins, took a sip of sacred water, searched for an underwater ruin and hiked to the southern tip of the island. The 8 kilometer hike was not easy but it was the second most beautiful hike I have ever done, behind Half Dome in Yosemite, California. We arrived at the dock, which is where this photo was taken. I love this photo because the tall, snowcapped mountain range makes as surreal backdrop behind the walking local. The clouds are pretty crazy looking too.
